Schlossbeleuchtung & Schwetzingen

Saturday evening was the "Schlossbeleuchtung" - fireworks at the castle/old bridge. Bigged up massively by the Germans, but it was an even more massive disappointment. Even Robinson May Ball did better.

On Sunday, I went to Schwetzingen and visited the only place that seemed to exist in the entire town. The palace was basically a summer residency for the royal family and aristocrats, so it was a pretty chilled place to be!

The only interesting thing I did find in this town were these cigarette vending machines on random streets! These can't still be legal?!

At the lab today, started in-situ hybridisation of my zebrafish. I think I've fallen in love - I want to adopt them. They're so little!! If I managed to will myself to read a 58-page paper on the embryonic development of Zebrafish, I think I must be in love.
