St Francis Hospice

Technically not in Deutschland yet, but this is still somewhere on my Summer to-do list! I spent a morning with the staff of St Francis Hospice today as part of PfP C. It was an absolutely horrendous 1.5 hour journey there, and an even longer trip back as I somehow got lost! On my travels though, I came across this very pretty house:

Anyway, my visit to the hospice was absolutely fantastic. I can totally see myself going into palliative care - everyone is so nice! It definitely was not what I expected at all - at one point, one of the patients started teaching me how to waltz. Even though she was receiving end of life treatment, her dancing was still a trillion times better than mine. Overall a very lovely morning.
